Day Five – USA Games (Final Day)

Its sad to say that the USA Games journey is over, but what a memorable week, especially for our Sabria! She came to Minnesota and conquered in so many ways! She finished in fifth within a skilled group at the finals of the 50y Backstroke, and left it all out in the pool.

We are so genuinely proud of Sabria and Team SONC. They worked so very hard to get ready for these games. With months of preparation, all their hard worked paid off!

Now it’s time to wish them safely home as heroes!!!

Day Four – USA Games

Day four of competition started early with the 4x50y Freestyle Relay. Sabria started things for Team SONC as you can see below! What a fantastic race and a Bronze medal for the foursome!!! Enjoy this exciting relay, as recorded from the stands by Chris.

Catch up with more swimming later today as Sabria swims in the 50y Backstroke preliminaries

Day Three – USA Games

Although today wasn’t a swim day for Sabria, it was certainly a CEREMONY DAY! Sabria was awarded her Silver medal for capturing second place at this year’s Special Olympics USA Games. She received her medal in front of a great house at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at the campus of the University of Minnesota.

We wish we were there to celebrate with Sabria, but we continue to send her and Team SONC the best of luck for tomorrow’s finals in the 4x50y Freestyle Relay, and the preliminaries of the 50y Backstroke. Remember to tune in to ESPN+ to catch the coverage beginning at 10:00AM.
