Location: Greensboro Aquatic Center – 1921 W. Gate City Blvd. Greensboro, NC 27403
Date: Saturday April 29th, 2023

General Information
Each athlete will be able register for two individual events and one 4x25yd freestyle relay. Note the athlete must stay within one level of events (i.e. both events must be in either level 1, level 2 or level 3). See the events offered at the meet: https://raleighracers.org/wp-content/uploads/2023-Southeast-U.S.-Swimming-Events-Offered.pdf
To save time we ask that athletes arrive with their swimsuits on under their clothes if possible. This will save time when we get to the facility.
Try and pack a single bag with everything they will need. We are only going to be gone for a day so no need to pack the kitchen sink.
Things to Pack:
- Swim suit (if not already wearing)
- Goggles
- Swim cap
- New Raleigh Racers shirt and shorts for awards
- Deck shoes (crocks, flops, etc)
- Towel(s)
- Water Bottle
- Shower items
- Change of clothes if not wearing the same clothes they traveled to the meet in,
- We will have some snacks, G2 and water but feel free to pack a favorite snack.
- Make sure the athlete brings something to do during travel and downtime (headphones, puzzles, book, games, etc)
- Medication – If your athlete has to take medication please bring it and have it labeled for the coach. It is better if the medication is in the original bottle with the dosage and the times.
Event Information:
The event information is current as of 2023-04-24. I will try to update it with the latest information as it comes in as they are still making changes.
- Divisions and Heats – updated 4.24.23
- Events by Delegation
- Order of Events
- Prelim Relays
Note that The Wake Tigersharks is incorrect and should have Bryan Henry listed. Also, Patrick Dear has been substituted for Joey Thompson in the Wake Kingfish relay. SONC has been notified.
Meals:
SONC will provide lunch for delegations (registered athletes, coaches, chaperones, etc.). Family members are not included in these meals.
Lunch will consist of ham and turkey sandwiches, chips and fruit donated by Sheetz. With the exception of those who have indicated they require a Gluten Free or Vegetarian meal.
There will be water coolers and drinking fountains in the facility for refillable water bottles.
Concessions:
Concessions will be on sale starting at 10 a.m. The GAC will have hot dogs, drinks, popcorn, pretzels, etc. for sale.
Souvenirs:
Special Olympics North Carolina will also be selling SONC-themed souvenirs. A limited number of event t-shirts will be for sale.
