Last updated: May 19th, 2025 – This information WILL change as I don’t have everything from SONC. Updated information about athlete drop off, opening ceremony, links to the HOD page, menu for those staying in the dorms.
The information below is pertaining to the 2025 Summer Games. As more information becomes available this page will be updated. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact one of the coaches.
Dates: May 30th – June 1, 2025
Communication: I will be communicating to everyone during the weekend using WhatsApp and email. I have tried to add everyone that has already joined our WhatsApp team to the “Summer Games” group. I will send an email with the QR code and link.
I have only covered a little of the information regarding the Summer Games on this page. For each of the sections I would recommend to review the Summer Games Head of Delegation Page as well. It has information about the Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg, Goosechase Scavenger Hung, Healthy Athletes and more.
Opening Ceremony
This year the theme for the Games is going to be rodeo so if you have cowboy hats and boots feel free to wear them. There will be a bag-check at the doors. If you don’t need a bag don’t bring one.
Friday, May 31
6:30 p.m. – Doors open and dance party begins
7:30 p.m. – Program begins
8:30 p.m – The ceremony will end
Reynolds Coliseum – NC State University
2411 Dunn Ave.
Raleigh, NC 27607
We will be wearing matching Wake County t-shirts (dark purple/plum) (picture below in Athlete Packing List section). Wake County will be gathering around the entrance of Reynolds around 6:15pm. In the past the swim team have waited in the shade by the grassy area near Reynolds (see X in picture below). Those athletes staying in the dorms may be late as we will be walking from dinner. Look for all the Wake County team wearing the dark purple/plum shirts. I will be handing out shirts once I have them.

Wake County is going to be walking in and sitting as a delegation. I will post a seating chart which will also indicate the athlete pick-up spot as soon as I have it (TBD). Also, check your WhatsApp group for information.
