The Road to Minnesota: Support Our Raleigh Racers!

The Raleigh Racers are thrilled to announce that Sabria Keaton and Chris Underwood have been selected to represent Team North Carolina at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games!

This June, Sabria and Chris will travel to Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota, to compete against the best athletes in the country. It is a massive honor, and as a team, we want to ensure they have the support they need to go for the gold.

The $2,026 Challenge

To celebrate the 2026 Games, both Sabria and Chris have a fundraising goal of $2,026. These funds go directly toward the costs of travel, uniforming, housing, and elite-level competition.

Every dollar raised helps our Raleigh Racers show the rest of the country what North Carolina athletes are made of!

Support Our Athlete: Sabria Keaton

Sabria’s dedication in the water has earned her a coveted spot on the state team. She will be representing the Raleigh Racers and all of North Carolina as she competes against the best swimmers in the country. Let’s help Sabria reach her goal and get her to the starting block!

Support Our Coach: Chris Underwood

As Head Coach of the Raleigh Racers, Chris has poured his heart into our team. Now, he’s taking that expertise to the national level as part of the Team NC staff, ensuring athletes from across the state have the coaching and support they need to succeed in Minnesota.

A Win for the Whole Team

While Sabria and Chris head to the USA Games this summer, their selection is a testament to the strength of our entire Raleigh Racers program. As our February season gets underway, we invite our whole community—parents, athletes, and fans—to rally behind them.

2026 Raleigh Racers Swim-a-Thon Information

How it Works

  • The 15-Minute Challenge: Participants have a 15-minute window set to swim as many lengths (laps) as possible, and use any stroke.
  • Pledge System: Swimmers collect pledges from friends, family, and the community. Pledges can be:
    • Per Length: A dollar amount for every length completed (e.g., $5.00/length).
    • Flat Donation: A total contribution for participating.
  • Donor Incentive: For any donation of $100 or more, the donor receives a FREE Swim-a-Thon shirt (Youth S–Adult 3XL).
